Our Philosophy

At Green Holistic Health your health and wellbeing is our priority.

We aim to support you with treatments, remedies and self-care advice designed to help you feel better in mind, body and spirit.

 

Our approach harnesses the healing power of nature - the hands and energy of the therapist, the beneficial properties of plants and other products from our earth with a minimalist approach, using just enough, respecting all life and without creating waste or causing harm.

What can a Holistic Therapist Offer?

​

A good Holistic Therapist will want to know how you are. We consider the whole person, mind, body and spirit, listening to how you feel, and help you figure what what you need, supporting you to maintain or improve your wellbeing through life's often bumpy journey.

​Why dont I feel great and what can I do about it?

​

Feeling well can be an elusive thing in modern life

​

Despite amazing recent advances in medicine and the standard of living many people are struggling with their physical and mental health.

​

Stress, fast pace, worries, financial pressures, aches and pains, poor work-life balance, highly processed food, sleep deficiency, chronic health conditions, long hours of screen use, lack of meaningful connection, sedentary habits, trauma and more can all play their part in leaving us feeling tired, wired, unhappy and depleted and leave us vulnerable to illness.​

Its important that we learn to listen to our bodies, because they are wise. ​

​

Symptoms such as headaches, anxiety, skin problems, depression and low mood, inflammatory conditions, digestive discomfort can all be messages that something is wrong.

​

​Its not always easy to know what is wrong or what to do about it but with support you can commit to investigating and making changes.

 

In my work I listen carefully to a client, observe them deeply and work to understand what they are looking for and how I can help them meet their needs so they can start feeling better.

 

I can then give treatments, formulate bespoke Aromatherapy products, use coaching and suggest self care strategies that I think might be useful.

 

This is a personalised and integrated approach.

Maybe you want help with your achy back, stiff neck or headaches, you just need an occasional relaxing massage or you maybe are trying to figure out why your shoulders are so tight and you cant sleep and want a course of treatments to address this?

 

The issue that you come with and how you want to approach things will determine how we work together.

 

If your interest is in bodywork for a physical issue, lets say recovering from an injury, that's fine; you may not need emotional support but from my perspective feeling relaxed from a treatment and mindfully using self care strategies at home like gentle stretching and trigger point release with a spiky massage ball will speed the healing process.

 

Our emotional world has a huge influence on our physical and general health and vice versa. The nervous system is a bridge between mind and body and affects all the other body systems and if we can regulate it better we can help improve our general health and how we feel in ourselves.

 

We cant always avoid stress in our lives but we do need to learn how to release it from our minds and bodies in order to stay well.

​

Tension in the body builds up and causes pain, restrictions and stiffness and can lead to tension in the mind, difficulties with our emotions and depleted vitality in our spirits.

​

Where there is tension and restriction ​there are often musculo-skeletal problems and feelings of ill health, anxiety or poor energy.

​

If we can figure out why/ where tension is present we can work at doing something about it.

​

Sometimes this tension has been present from birth or from an old accident or trauma - we may not even be consciously aware of it - but the restriction patterns it creates will be creating issues

 

When we can release restictions you can feel better in your body, have better energy and feel lighter of spirit - it can be like unblocking something unhelpful that has been holding you back.

​

My main aim is often to help you feel better by identifying and releasing areas of tension and restriction through hands on treatments and providing bespoke natural healing products and self care strategies for home use that will support and encourage this process over time. It is always my intention to help clients towards a better understanding of their own mind, body and health needs.

​

Learning what it is to feel well and finding ways to stay well through different periods of your life is a journey. Sometimes we need support and guidance.

 

Holistic Help is not an alternative to medical care. I would encourage you to speak to your GP or any relevant healthcare professional about any issue that is concerning you. I often recommend that clients see different practitioners instead of or alongside me to help them get a diagnosis or the best care for their issue.

 

Holistic Support can generally be used safely and effectively alongside most medical treatments. As a Complementary Therapist it is my job to support you in your health and wellbeing journey. Sometimes you need allopathic treatment but holistic treatments, remedies and personalised therapeutic support when used sensibly and appropriately can be a wonderful helping hand to help you stay as well as possible in mind, body and spirit.

 

The therapies that I work with - Craniosacral Therapy, Clinical Massage, Myofascial Release, Aromatherapy and Flower essences can be used alone or together and can all safely help facilitate better physical and general health and emotional healing on many levels.  That is why I love working with them and adapting every treatment or product to what the client needs for that session or issue.
