General Information

What to expect when you visit

Street parking is available close to the salon except between 10 and 11am Monday to Friday .There is a public car park next to Kelvedon Institute.

When you arrive come into the hairdressers and go up the stairs behind the reception desk.

Ideally please arrive 5 minutes before your appointment.

·If you need any help with the stairs please let Louise know on booking. Have a seat in the small waiting area at the top of the stairs.

·If this is your first visit we will conduct a full consultation. You will need to complete a form with your personal details, give GDPR consent on how we communicate, and sign the consent form. Most follow up treatments then start with a brief catch up and check on your reasons for coming for treatment.

We will agree on what the session will include, and you will use the bathroom and undress if required.

Most treatments take place lying on the massage couch. All treatments are adapted to your needs and care is taken over your comfort. If you find it difficult to lie flat or have any other concerns please contact Louise prior to your appointment so we can discuss how to help you best.

If your session involves the creation of personalised products Louise may be able to give youthe items at the time of your appointment or arrange for delivery or collection as necessary

At the end of your treatment you will pay - card, cash and bank transfer all accepted. You can arrange another appoinment if you wish. Self-care suggestions may be given.

·You will receive a check-back email after your first visit.

Drink plenty of water to rehydrate the body

Avoid stimulants such as alcohol, caffeine, tobacco

Do not undertake strenuous exercise afterwards the same day

Do gentle stretches and mobilizations if so advised

You may feel slightly worse before you feel better, feel tired/ wiped out, or experience symptoms such as headaches, muscle aches, feeling a bit low or emotional for a couple of days. This should pass

Contact your therapist if you have any concerns

Inclusivity & Right to Refuse Treatment

I will always do my best to provide safe, comfortable and effective treatment for all clients.

A guardian or carer can be present at any time if this is helpful (required for minors)

As my treatment room is located upstairs and there is no lift in the building I work in unfortunately wheelchair access is not be possible in my current clinic. I may however be able to help with products and holistic health advice via phone/videocall/email if you are not able to see me in clinic so please do make an enquiry.

·If I believe there is a valid reason that treatment is unsafe or inappropriate for the client or for myself or staff members I reserve the right to refuse treatment if necessary.

Any threatening, offensive or inapropriate behaviour will not be tolerated. You will be asked to leave and will not be offered further appointments.
