​Wellness Consultation

​

Are you looking for help with a particular health or wellbeing issue, such as stress, anxiety, digestive problems, poor sleep etc or a musculoskeletal problem such as back pain or neck stiffness for example? Or perhaps you just generally dont feel great and want to explore why this is and what to do about it?


Dont particularly want to come for massage or other bodywork but would like to try a more natural or holistic approach to improve your wellbeing?


Perhaps you would like to start a course of holistic treatment but are not sure what would suit you best and would like to meet Louise and get some personalised advice about the different options and the benefits?


Talk about what is troubling you with Louise,  we can discuss the issue, look at it from a holistic perspective, have a think about what might be causing or contributing to this problem and how it could be overcome, managed or helped.


Louise will give you some suggestions of some strategies that you can explore that she feels may help you.


This can include ideas on what what therapies might be effective for you, advice on natural remedies or supplements to look into and specific self-care and lifestyle advice that could be used at home to help with the issue discussed in the session.

A summary of our discussion and Louise's suggestions for you will be emailed to you within 48 hours of your appointment.


Follow up by email/phone approx one week after your session is included.

What is Self-Care?

 

Self-care is any activity that we do deliberately in order to take care of our own mental, emotional and physical health.

It is taking good care of ourselves in an active and mindful way.

Why does it matter?

Self-care is a really important way of staying well and a path to healing if we are looking to improve our health.

Its a key part of our philosophy to help educate you about how you can help yourself to feel better. Small changes can often make a big difference to how well you feel on a daily basis.

The cornerstones of self-care involve:

·         Eating well and staying hydrated

·         Sleeping well

·         Breathing properly 

·         Getting outside into nature

·         Moving our bodies enough

·         Making time to rest

·         Making time for fun or relaxing activities regularly

·         Finding ways to connect with friends, family or your community

·         Monitoring how you feel and asking for support or making changes as needed

·         Using natural remedies, treatments and self-help strategies

It sounds simple but so many people wonder why they dont feel great, but havent thought about or have chosen to ignore how their lifestyle can affect their wellbeing.

Self-care advice is often offered to clients having bodywork treatments when it is considered to be helpful. Carrying out suggestions at home/work between treatments will help you maximise the benefits of the treatments that you are investing in.
